Emily Smith

Singer-Composer-Musician

Emily got her down home roots as a child growing up in the Pennsylvania countryside. As a youngster her family moved west to Arizona. During this time she was constantly creating music on any instrument she could get her hands on.

In her high school years she toured Northern America as Lead Snare for a Drum & Bugle Core. Her ability to drum earned her a percussion scholarship to Las Vegas' famous UNLV where she expanded her concepts playing bass with their award winning jazz bands all the while studying theory and arranging. During this period she was snatched up by the Stan Mark big band. (former lead trumpet for Maynard Fergueson) She played bass with this renowned ensemble and appeared at major hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, all the time attending her classes at UNLV.

Emily soon left the Stan Mark big band to become a featured performer with Glenn Smith. It was here that she moved to center stage not only playing but singing as well. She has since worked a number of showrooms & lounges not only here in Las Vegas, but internationally as well.

All of these experiences affected her unique style of music.

Currently she is spending most of her time in the studio where she is writing and recording her debut cd.

Once you have heard her music, watched her perform, and observed her magnetic appeal, you will agree that she will soon take her place among the popular contemporary artists of our time.
